Volunteer Chore Services
Volunteer Chore Services (VCS), a program of Catholic Family and Child Services, provides basic in-home assistance low-income elderly or disabled persons who need help to maintain their home environment through housekeeping, yard-work, laundry, home repair, transportation. All services are provided solely through the generosity of individual and group volunteers who donate their time and talent to help someone in need.
VCS Staff provides training, encouragement, and support to the volunteers so that together we can become a vital community of caregivers to our friends and neighbors.
Individuals may request services if they are: over 60 and low income between the ages of 18 and 60, low income and disabled.
This ministry is open to individuals who are willing to volunteer their time to provide valuable services such as:
- Minor home repairs
- Wheelchair ramps
- Yard work
- Shopping
- Transportation for appointments and errands
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Snow shoveling
